A simple Valentine tin can is a stand for pencils, markers and other stationery. This is an easy creative activity for children and adults.
Everyone can bring their own twist to the idea and decorate the jar with hearts and other glamorous details that are typical of Valentine’s Day.
What is used in this work:
- Tin can;
- Blue checkered decorative paper;
- Red paper with white small polka dots;
- Red paper;
- Scotch;
- Glue, scissors, hole punch for small hearts.
Valentine Tin Can Step by Step
Wrap the tin can in paper and measure the length and width of the future workpiece. In order to save decorative paper, you can measure on plain paper, up to a magazine page. And then cut the decorative strip according to the template.
Considering the height of the jar, cut out a heart. And also two long strips of red paper. These stripes will be at the top and bottom of the can, covering its entire circumference. Alternatively, you can use beautiful decorative adhesive tape.
Glue the hearts and stripes onto the paper. In principle, you can glue it to the can itself, but this is somewhat more convenient.
Now cover the jar with a checkered strip. You can use glue or tape.
That’s it, a Valentine tin can is ready. This is probably the easiest way to decorate a jar. But it all depends on your own inspiration, age and the availability of materials, thanks to which the jar can be decorated in a variety of ways.
