Materials for this origami:
- Decorative origami paper, one side of which is in a blue-blue cage, and the other is blue;
- Googly eyes.
How to Make an Origami Owl
Prepare square paper. The size of this segment is 15:15 cm.
At the first stage, you should make the basic origami shape — a double square. Fold the paper into a triangle, open it and fold it again, only to connect the other two opposite corners.
With these actions, we outline the intersecting folds.
For successful work, we need one more fold — horizontal. Make it by folding the paper in half into a rectangle.
Open the paper and direct the horizontal fold inward while lowering the top corner to the bottom.
Press down, the double square is ready.
Lift up the bottom corner of the top layer of the square.
Fold the right corner towards the center.
Then the left.
Bend these parts inwards.
Remove them from there and open the doors.
Raise the corner in the center.
And fold the right side inward along the fold.
Then left.
Flip over to the other side.
Bend the right corner to the left, aligning it in the center.
Bend the left one too, touching the right one.
Bend the top corner down, using only the first layer of the figure.
Now fold all three triangular parts back, as the previous steps were aimed at creating the folds we need.
Pull on the bottom corner without grabbing the paper underneath.
Raise the corner up.
Close the sides in the middle.
Pull the top corner down.
Fold in a small corner at the top.
Lift the bottom corner up to make an elongated rhombus.
Flip over to the other side.
Fold the top corner down so that it extends slightly beyond the blue part. This is the future beak of an origami owl.
Fold down the entire top side, touching the area where the blue part begins. Of course, you may have paper of a completely different color, but for orientation I will indicate this shade.
Flip over to the other side.
Bend the bottom sharp corner of the top, aligning it with the corner at the top.
Fold up the bottom right corner as well.
Now the area of these corners will be slightly modified. To do this, lower the left corner to take it to work.
On the left side there is a compartment that should be slightly opened.
And then, as if flattening along the fold, lift it up again.
Do the same with the right corner.
Flip over to the other side. Glue on funny eyes.
