Materials used:
- Red cardboard;
- Orange paper;
- Eyes stickers;
- A writing pencil, scissors, a glue stick, compasses.
How to Craft a Handmade Paper Dragon?
Making the body
Draw and cut out 4 circles. Optionally, you can make more of them; in this case, the dragon body will look more voluminous and dense.
Cut the circles in half.
Now, fold all the half-circles in half again.
Glue their sides together.
Here, it’s worth mentioning that this method may result in the body being too wide. Therefore, it may be better to cut out ovals instead of circles. Or at this stage you can slightly cut off the body sides, previously putting them together. Apply glue to one of the sides, sticking the other to it. At the end, complete the circle by sticking the first half of the circle with the last one. The paper dragon’s body is complete.
Final work stage
Use a template or draw a dragon head and neck to your liking.
Cut these parts out of cardboard.
Attach head and tail to the opposite sides of the body; stick any eyes you like. The paper dragon is ready; look, how bright and splendid it is. But you can complement it with a few scales and spikes on the neck.
Cut a semicircle strip and make serration on one side of it. Cut out lots of small circles.
Stick spikes to the neck and circles to the whole dragon body. That’s all, the craft is complete.
