Valentine Card with Tulip

A DIY valentine card with a tulip is an excellent and best gift from a child to their loved ones and friends. And it’s not at all difficult to do.

Materials used:

  • Double-sided red cardboard;
  • Colored paper – red and green;
  • White paper;
  • A simple pencil, scissors, glue stick.

Valentine Card with Tulip Step by Step

Cut out a beautiful heart of the desired size from red cardboard. The heart template can be printed or drawn. You can see more details on how to make a heart in the tutorial — easy heart crafts for kids.

From white paper, cut out a heart slightly smaller than the red one. Then glue the white onto the red.

Making a 3d Heart

In the center of the card there will be a voluminous flower with a heart. To create it you will need 6 small hearts made of red double-sided paper.

It is best to draw one heart, fold the paper like an accordion and cut out 6 pieces at once. This way they will be as identical as possible. The size should be coordinated with the large heart so that not only the flower, but also the stem and leaves fit.

Fold each heart in half.

Glue the halves together, side to side. You will get such a 3d heart.

Fold the large heart in half and glue a voluminous heart in the upper part, in the very fold.

Fold the green paper in half and cut out two identical petals at once. The shape can be very different. You also need to cut off a strip that will be the stem of the flower.

Glue the stem to the very fold of the card, and add leaves to the sides.
