This bright and easy Halloween spider craft is a great creative activity for kids in the run-up to the holiday. The combination of orange and black makes the craft especially eye-catching and creates the perfect Halloween atmosphere.
These funny little spiders are very easy to make. All you need is some colored paper and a few simple details, and your original Halloween craft will be ready!
Supplies You’ll Need:
- Orange and black paper;
- Black marker;
- Googly eyes (you can replace them with paper eyes);
- Scissors;
- Glue.
Halloween Spider Craft Step by Step
For the background, take a rectangular sheet of orange paper. You can use an A4 sheet or a slightly smaller one, depending on how large you want your craft to be. Place the paper horizontally.

First, draw the base of the spider web. Starting from a point in the center of the top edge of the paper, draw five lines spreading out like a fan: one going downward and two extending to each side. Then draw another long line along the top edge of the paper.

Now complete the spider web. Connect the main lines with curved arcs, gradually working your way from top to bottom. Slowly increase the distance between the arcs to make the web look more natural.

Next, cut two identical strips from black paper. Make them medium in length and not too wide — these pieces will become the spiders.

Roll each black strip into a small cylinder and glue the ends together. Attach the finished pieces to the orange background, making sure they do not touch the spider web.
The spiders don’t have to be positioned perfectly straight. Tilt them slightly in different directions to make it look as though they are swinging from their webs. You can also place them at different heights: glue one spider higher up and the other closer to the bottom of the sheet.

Now it’s time to add the finishing touches. Using a black marker, draw eight legs on each spider — four on each side. Then draw thin lines connecting the spiders to the large web so that they look as though they are hanging from threads.
Glue large googly eyes onto the spiders to give them an even funnier look. If you don’t have googly eyes, you can easily make your own. Simply cut four small circles from white paper and draw black pupils on them.
