How to Make a Wobbly Snail Craft: Step-by-Step Instructions
First, choose the colors for your snail. It can be any color combination you like: pink and blue, green and yellow, red and blue, and so on. Our example features a yellow-and-orange snail.
Next, cut out the craft pieces.
- Cut one circle and two narrow strips from yellow paper. These will form the body and the little stalks that hold the eyes.
- Cut a smaller circle from orange paper. This will be the snail’s shell.
- Cut about seven small flowers from white paper. You will use them to decorate the shell.
Before cutting out the circles, you can draw their outlines on the paper. A compass will come in handy for this. It isn’t essential, but it makes the task easier.

Then, fold the yellow circle in half. This will create the rocking base for your craft.

Next, work on the shell. Draw a spiral on the orange circle. Keep it simple, with just a few turns.

Now, decorate the shell. Glue the paper flowers along the spiral line. Before attaching them, give the flowers a little dimension: use a pencil to gently press the center of each flower against your finger.

After that, glue the shell onto the snail’s base. Position it on the right-hand side of the yellow semicircle.

Next, attach the two little stalks that will hold the eyes. You can angle them slightly, but be careful not to tilt them too much.

Then, glue the eyes onto the stalks and draw a smile on the snail’s body.
You can decorate the shell with rhinestones, gluing them into the centers of the flowers like little flower centers. This will give your craft a lovely sparkle. If you don’t have any rhinestones, don’t worry—the snail will look beautiful without them, too!

Finally, turn the craft over and stand it upright. Thanks to its cardstock base, the snail will stand steadily without tipping over.

And that’s it! Your wobbly snail craft is ready! You can make several snails in different colors and give each one a unique pair of eyes. Every snail will be one of a kind!
