A funny colored paper pig craft using a simple technique. A bright DIY craft for children.
You will need:
- Pink paper for the base;
- Yellow paper for the inner parts of the ears;
- A black marker or felt-tip pen for details;
- Scissors;
- Glue;
- Googly eyes (store-bought or cut out from paper).
Step-by-Step Colored Paper Pig Craft
The craft consists of simple and easy elements. Draw a thick long strip on pink paper — this will become the pig’s body. On the same sheet, sketch a snout, an ear, and an elongated strip for a leg. Also draw a shorter strip — it will serve as a support for the snout. Draw the inner parts of the ears on yellow paper. If you decide to make the eyes from paper, sketch them on white paper as well. In our example, we use store-bought googly eyes, so they are not shown in the photo.
Cut out all the pieces. You will need two legs, two ears, and two inner ear parts. To speed up the process, fold the paper a couple of times — this way you can cut several identical pieces at once.
Take the strip for the body and fold it in half. Then bend the edges inward.
Apply glue to one folded edge of the strip and overlap it onto the other edge, forming the body.
Trim the corners of the upper part of the body, creating a rounded shape for the pig’s future head.
Prepare the details. Draw nostrils on the snout with black color, and add hooves to the legs. Glue the yellow inner parts onto the pink ears. Fold the support strip for the snout in half.
Glue the support strip onto the body. Thanks to it, the craft will gain an interesting 3D effect.
Glue the snout onto the support strip. Add the remaining important details: glue the ears onto the head, place the legs on the sides, and attach the eyes to the face.

Here you can experiment: place the ears closer together or farther apart, and change their position. They can stand upright or tilt to the sides. The legs can point upward or downward — it all depends on the pose you want to give your pig.
Here is the colored paper pig craft we made! In our example, it turned out a little gloomy and dreamy, but you can give your pig any expression you like.
