To make such a hairpin, we will prepare:
- felt of different colors;
- ruler template with circles;
- simple pencil;
- decorative rhinestone;
- metal fittings;
- glue gun.
Felt Handmade Kids Hair Clip Step by Step
We will make the flower itself from small circles cut out of felt of different colors. Using a special ruler-template (as an option – a compass), we drew 6 circles with a diameter of 18 mm on the felt. After that, carefully cut them out with scissors.
Next, we need a glue gun, so we warm it up. With it, we begin to connect the cut out multi-colored circles together. So we form a flower.
In this way, in a circle, we must glue all 6 blanks. This will be the basis for the rainbow flower.
Now let’s prepare the base for our hairpin. To do this, glue a strip of felt on metal fittings. We used blue felt, cut out a narrow strip from it and glued it to the blank for the hairpin, bending the ends.
Glue the rainbow flower to the edge of our hairpin.
It remains to decorate it with a decorative rhinestone. This is how we got a hairpin with a rainbow felt flower.
