Despite the fact that there are already quite a lot of hedgehogs on the site, I want to offer another option for creating it. This time it’s an accordion paper hedgehog, a fun and super easy craft for kids.
Materials for work:
- Colored paper or not very thick brown and beige cardboard;
- Black felt-tip pen, glue stick, scissors.
Accordion Paper Hedgehog Step by Step
Cut a sheet of brown A4 paper in half along its length. You will get a long strip that you need to fold into an accordion, starting from its narrow side.
Fold all the paper into an accordion. Depending on age, children can fold the folds, first in one direction and then in the other, from 5 mm to 1.5 cm.
Find the center of the accordion and fold it in half.
Apply glue along either inner side and glue, forming a kind of fan. Sometimes you may need to go through the glue at the very bottom of this fan, fastening together the lower folds. Hedgehog needles are ready.
Now it’s time to draw the hedgehog’s appearance and paws. To do this, cut out a slightly elongated semicircle from beige paper, or rather cardboard, the size of which is half the size of an accordion needle. Draw eyes, a nose and a wide smile on this semicircle with a black felt-tip pen. Cut out two strips from the same beige paper and round the corners, these will be the hedgehog’s legs.
Glue the hedgehog’s head to the accordion, and attach the paws from below. It will turn out such a cute and funny hedgehog made of accordion paper.
