This tutorial shows how to make a small flower from foam, which can become part of any decoration.
To create such a flower, take:
- thin orange foam;
- scissors;
- ruler with toothpick;
- iron;
- glue gun
How to Make a Small Flower from Foam Step by Step
First, let’s use a ruler and a toothpick. Let’s mark square blanks with a side of 3 cm on the foam. We need to cut out 3 such parts, they will be needed for the petals. We will also prepare a thin strip 3 cm long and 1 cm wide, from which we will make stamens.
We fold the square piece in half and make cuts on the sides, not reaching the center. We make similar cuts on the other side.
Now you need to round the corners, forming the petals of the future flower. To do this, it is more convenient to use small nail scissors with rounded ends.
We do the same with the rest of the square blanks.
For the stamens, we take a strip prepared in advance and make cuts on it on one side.
Now you can use the iron, warm it up. Carefully apply the blank of petals and wait for them to curl up a little. In this way you need to prepare all the petals.
We also warm up the blank for the stamens a little, and twist the thin strips with our fingers.
We twist this strip, then fix the edge with hot glue.
We glue the finished stamens into one of the petal blanks.
The edges of the petals need to be secured in a certain way so that they overlap one another.
Then glue the second row of petals.
We secure the bases of these petals with hot glue.
Finally, it remains to add one more petal blank.
