How to Fold an Origami Maple Leaf
Prepare a square piece of colored paper in any desired color and size. It is convenient to make leaves from paper 15:15 cm.
On paper, we need to make 4 folds that intersect in the middle.
To do this, first fold the square into a triangle, then open it and fold it again, touching the other two opposite corners.
Open the paper and fold the square into a rectangle. Open and fold in half again, connecting the other two sides.
The folds are ready, now you need to make the basic origami shape — a double square.
Redirect the horizontal fold to the middle.
And at the same time direct the upper corner down to the lower corner.
Press down, the double square is ready.
Fold the right side of the top layer of the square towards the center.
Then left.
Point the top corner down.
Bring back the top corner and open the sides.
Pull up the bottom corner of the top layer.
Aim upwards while pressing the sides, bringing the right and left together.
Turn over to the other side and do all the same steps:
- Fold inward sides;
- Lower the corner down;
- Open the folded parts;
- Point the bottom corner up;
- Connect the inner sides of the rhombus and press.
Pull down the top corner.
Flip over to the other side.
Lift up the bottom two corners of the paper.
We work with the right corner. Open it up from the outside.
Point the corner to the side and slightly up. Hold it down.
Fold in the same way on the left side. Open the doors on the left.
Aim slightly up and to the left. Hold it down.
Cut with scissors along the lower beam.
Bend one part of the beam to the right.
Point the left beam to the left.
Try to bend both rays symmetrically.
Flip over to the other side.
The lower beams need to be shortened a little. To do this, bend the right corner down.
And then fold again as shown in the photo.
Do the same on the left. Bend the corner.
And then fold a small area of paper again.
Point the corner in the middle of the origami maple leaf down.
Bend the right side to the middle.
Then left.
We continue to work on the petiole. On the right side, fold the paper again, repeating the shape of the corner from below, that is, the future petiole.
On the left, also bend in the same way.
Flip over to the other side. Work completed. Now you know how to make an origami maple leaf.
Despite the long description and many photo frames, making a sheet is not at all difficult.
There is another way, you will find it in the lesson — origami maple leaf.
